TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified TICU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104!

$2,506 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Trauma ICU

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Nights

Hours per Shift : 40.00

Experience : Level one ICU Trauma experience is required. Must have directly worked in an ICU at a level 1 for 1+ years. One year of travel experience is required. Cardiac experience is required, or a combination of cardiac and neuro experience is acceptable.

License : Current RN License issued by the state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN License.

Certifications : Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association. ACLS certification (American Heart Association) is required.

Must-Have : Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

Description :

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.

Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.

Assists physician in the examination of patients.

Performs minor diagnostic procedures and treatments as required.

Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients.

Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.

Administers medication as prescribed.

Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.

Delivers patient care competently.

Interacts with family and patients, sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at discharge.

Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.

Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.

Delegates tasks to support staff.

Performs other duties as assigned.
