Staff Software Engineer

Tellius enables organizations to get faster insights and act upon cloud-scale enterprise data using AI-powered automation. Any user can ask any question across billions of records via a ChatGPT-like interface, understand "why" metrics change via AI insights that surface hidden key drivers and trends, and leverage agentic flows to perform complex multipart analysis easily — in a self-service manner. Unlike traditional BI tools, Tellius excels at ad-hoc analysis, deep dives, and business-friendly advanced analytics.

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our AI team. This is a high-impact, IC-focused role for someone who wants to build scalable AI systems that power real-world decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Architect and implement core infrastructure for AI agents and orchestration (e.g., LangChain, custom frameworks)
• Build and optimize backend services using Python and SQL to support AI workloads
• Engage with design partners and early customers to validate architecture, use cases, and product direction
• Develop robust data pipelines and work with large, complex datasets
• Contribute to agentic application design, grounding LLMs in structured data and business logic
• Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and design to ship production-ready features
• Mentor junior engineers
