Job Overview :

We are on the hunt for a Senior Business Development Executive to join our vibrant team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead strategic growth initiatives within the Retail Community and Specialty pharmacy market for a prestigious Fortune 10 organization. This is an exceptional opportunity to engage with a diverse and expanding market filled with high-value prospects, allowing you to leave a lasting imprint while working alongside a talented and dedicated team.

  • Establish strong business relationships with prospective customers, fostering trust and confidence in Cencora.
  • Craft and deliver compelling customer proposals that align with the specific needs of each individual client.
  • Achieve new customer acquisition goals each fiscal year to meet your assigned revenue and profitability targets.
  • Manage the sales pipeline for new business efficiently and effectively, continually improving time-to-close metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal Cencora partners to negotiate and finalize agreeable terms for new business.
  • Engage in internal and external sales discussions to move potential customers through the sales pipeline.
  • Ensure that every account is fully operational before transition to the Sales Executive team for ongoing management.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training to enhance a consultative sales approach with all clients.
  • Proactively seek out training and development opportunities to further your professional knowledge and skills.
  • Be prepared for extended hours and extensive travel as needed to meet sales objectives and attend events like national and regional conferences.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • A minimum of five (5) years of proven success in direct new customer acquisition sales, including territory prospecting, needs analysis, tailored proposals, and effective presentations.
  • A four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Strong business acumen in negotiations, pipeline management, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and understand client needs while challenging existing mindsets.
  • Effective collaboration with internal partners is essential.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to think quickly on your feet.
  • Competitive and goal-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of value and profit principles.
