RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - Med Surg

Job Details :

• Work in a 36-bed medical surgical unit with patient ratios of 1 : 4 to 1 : 5
• Schedule requires 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block
• Float over core staff as needed
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Work with PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Perform bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1-2 hours
• Provide basic patient assessments and general care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures
• Manage patients requiring dialysis or PCA pumps
• Administer Heparin drips
• Care for post-operative patients including amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Follow 100% medication scanning protocols including controlled substances
• Implement HAI prevention with CVC and Foley monitoring
• Maintain fall prevention protocols
• Dress code requires scrubs in navy, blue, white, black, gray, or ceil blue
• Focus on communication and responsiveness for patient experience
