Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant
Join a leading architecture firm in NYC as a Bookkeeper, where you will handle essential financial tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank and credit card reconciliations, and supporting year-end accounting activities. Responsibilities :
- Manage accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices, assigning job codes, and overseeing payments.
- Handle accounts receivable by generating client invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Support year-end accounting tasks, including 1099 filings and preparing documentation for audits.
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific financial regulations and company policies.
Essential Skills :
2-4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in the AEC industry.Proficiency with accounting software such as Deltek Ajera / Vantagepoint and Sage.Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, project accounting, and reconciliation tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Experience with QuickBooks is beneficial.Basic understanding of job costing.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Work Environment :
Enjoy a flexible work environment with the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The office is located in NYC, with in-office presence required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Standard working hours are from 9 am to 6 pm.Job Type & Location :

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00 / yr. Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO, Hybrid Work Environment.
