Mitigation Disaster Technician
As a Mitigation Disaster Technician, you'll be on the front lines, providing crucial initial response and stabilization services to properties damaged by water, fire, mold, and other disasters. You'll play a vital role in preventing further damage and setting the stage for successful restoration. Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency calls for water, fire, mold, and storm damage. Perform emergency services, including water extraction, structural drying, demolition of damaged materials, and board-ups. Set up and monitor drying equipment, ensuring optimal conditions for effective drying. Apply antimicrobial treatments and other remediation solutions according to industry standards and safety protocols. Carefully document all work performed, including moisture readings, equipment placement, and site conditions. Communicate effectively with homeowners, business owners, and project managers, providing clear explanations and compassionate support. Maintain and clean company vehicles, equipment, and tools. Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Be available for on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies.
