About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Profession : IR Technologist

Specialty : Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8H Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hour varied AM shifts

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in acute care hospital radiologic technologist experience within the past three years preferred.

License : CA Radiologic Technologist and Fluoroscopy

Certifications : BLS CPR, ARRT (R)

Must-Have : ARRT (VI) is strongly preferred.

Description :

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is a state and nationally board-certified medical professional.

This role involves working closely with Interventional Radiologists and Radiology nursing staff.

The Technologist assists in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The ability to perform under potentially stressful situations is essential.

Care for emergency patients, inpatients, and outpatients is required.

Maintaining competency in all interventional radiology procedures is necessary.

Availability to rotate on-call for after-hours procedures is expected.

Under the leadership of department management, the Technologist is responsible for delivering quality patient care.

Interactions with patients, medical staff, and peers should be positive and service-oriented.

All applicable radiographic procedures in the area of assignment will be performed.

The Technologist must possess skills and knowledge to provide diagnostic quality radiographs with corresponding documentation.

Compliance with diagnostic imaging requirements of radiation safety is mandatory.

Maximizing the use of equipment and resources is a priority.
