Trades Generalist
The Trades Generalist is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of Maricopa County facilities, including keeping spaces, structures, and infrastructure in proper operating condition in a routine, scheduled, or anticipated fashion to prevent failure or degradation. As the landlord for all facilities owned by Maricopa County, the Facilities Management Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of more than 200 facilities comprised of over 10 million square feet. Facilities Management is made up of a collaborative team that provides and performs various functions to meet the facility-related needs of all Maricopa County Departments. Our broad range of services includes various aspects of the ongoing operations and maintenance of all County-owned facilities, management of all facility projects, and in-house design services.

We Require :
Two years of experience involving a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to include semi-skilled trades tasksHigh school diploma or GEDMust complete a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) background investigation to access County detention facilitiesMust possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona drivers license by the time of hire and have an acceptable driving recordWe Also Value :

Facilitate and correct all repairs associated with a specific work order, including routine and / or emergency repairsRespond to assigned service calls in person in all Maricopa County buildings, working within the system to finalize work ordersReplace air filters, drive belts, ballasts, light bulbs, light switches, wall outlets, and low-voltage motors, managing work priorities on siteOperate hand tools and power equipment necessary to perform various building maintenance and repair tasksPerform other trades activities, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and mechanical maintenanceOperate computers and mobile devices for time management, inventory, work assignments, and other related functionsOther job duties as assignedWorking Conditions :
