Precision Bridgeport Milling Specialist (Manual / CNC Machinist)

Your day on the floor

Start your shift by setting up and dialing in a variety of manual machines : Bridgeport mills, lathes, grinders, saws, a boring mill, and a drill press. You’ll interpret blueprints, sketches, and process sheets—plus verbal and written run instructions—to plan each cut. You’ll secure workpieces to tables and fixtures using the correct clamping methods, monitor cycle performance, and make control adjustments to hold tolerance. Throughout the run, you’ll check parts with precision measuring tools to verify specifications. Before you clock out, you’ll leave a clean, organized work area—and pitch in on additional tasks as needed.

• Confidence to run equipment independently without constant supervision
