Web Software Developer (MicrobeTrace - Full-Stack)

Position Summary

The Web Software Developer (MicrobeTrace - Full-Stack) supports the CDC National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and Tuberculosis Prevention (NCHHSTP) by designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining the MicrobeTrace web application and related public-facing and internal informatics tools. This role delivers secure, scalable, and user-centered web solutions that support pathogen genomics, molecular epidemiology, and public health data visualization.

The developer works collaboratively with CDC scientists, epidemiologists, bioinformaticians, and informatics teams to ensure MicrobeTrace and related applications are reliable, accessible, and compliant with CDC IT governance, security, and accessibility standards.

Work is primarily remote, but candidate must live within 50 miles of the CDC campus in Atlanta, GA for meetings / support. This position is contingent upon a contract award.
