We are seeking Russian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to join our USCIS contract team. These interpreters will provide real-time telephonic interpretation between Russian and English during immigration interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
Responsibilities
Provide accurate, impartial Russian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.Interpret in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts with professionalism.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to USCIS / DHS compliance standards.Handle both scheduled and urgent interpretation requests.Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English.2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, or government settings preferred).Knowledge of interpreter ethics and professional standards (NCIHC, ATA, RID).Strong communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 clearance.Compensation & Benefits
