Position Overview :
Marathon Petroleum Company has a full-time opening for an Electrician / Electrical Technician. This position reports to the Electrical Superintendent.
Job Duties :
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment.
Troubleshoots and repairs Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs
Performs maintenance as per established written procedures.
Uses drawings, equipment manuals, procedures, and proper tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Documents performance in test forms and condition reports.
Marks up drawings for as-built revision by drafting based upon field inspection.
Terminates motor connections
Troubleshoots motor controls
Reads schematics and logic diagrams
Conducts high voltage switching and grounding distribution systems
Conducts electrical testing and inspections
Uploads and downloads field data
Reads loop diagrams, logic diagrams, P&IDs
Programmable logic control experience
Reviews and re-writes procedures for electrical work
Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrician / Electrical Technician in refining, chemical, power industry, or related military experience is required
Pay And Benefits :
Starting pay is $50.34-$54.30 per hour with highly competitive benefits including retirement and medical.
