Senior Manager Cyber Security – Defensive

The Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) within ETO is looking for a senior manager to defend the enterprise from malicious actors and improve our security posture. You will work in a fast‑paced, information‑driven environment and collaborate across teams to meet ever‑changing demands.
Responsibilities
- Continuous monitoring, alerting, escalation, and response of suspicious activities, including research indicators of compromise, continuous configuration, SIEM customization, and logging requirements for technical assets.
- Support a team of dedicated cybersecurity engineers and analysts in 24 / 7 monitoring, incident response, internal investigations, forensics, eDiscovery, and logging infrastructure.
- Manage security tooling (EDR, SIEM, etc.) by overseeing deployment, integration, and configuration of new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions.
- Deliver after‑action facilitation and action / remediation oversight.
- Provide development, education, and oversight of relevant standards, procedures, and playbooks, including tabletop and simulation exercises and Security Incident Management Framework.
- Provide coaching, constructive feedback, workload management, and direction to staff to ensure successful achievement of projects and initiatives.
- Develop procedures and guidelines to support consistent delivery of services.
- Consult with cybersecurity and technology colleagues to continuously evaluate and implement security solutions.
- Communicate potential security concerns / exposures to appropriate leadership.
- Coordinate and collaborate with business organizations and other IT groups to ensure quality solutions are delivered within project timelines and to facilitate enterprise‑wide understanding of security goals.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the cyber and information security industry, including new or revised solutions, improved processes, and emerging threat vectors.
- Ensure adequate and effective technical and non‑technical controls exist to meet current and future security compliance requirements found in local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Identify and recommend tools, processes, software, and hardware to maintain leading‑edge cybersecurity capabilities; manage supplier relationships for technology, software, and services.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity in an enterprise environment, which may include IT, risk, compliance, audit, threat detection, data privacy, etc. Prefer experience managing 24 / 7 enterprise technology or cybersecurity production environments.Experience managing a team and / or coaching team members.Experience developing policies / procedures for security processes.Ability to effectively lead cyber discussions and initiatives and actively participate in technical discussions.Ability to lead a team, including mentoring, coaching, and motivating, providing an opportunity to learn and grow.Proven track record of successfully managing projects, with a particular emphasis on handling complex assignments.Demonstrated history of achieving customer satisfaction by effectively managing both internal and external stakeholders.Strong relationship‑building skills; must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a team member and as a people manager.Ability to influence peers and business stakeholders.Experience managing cybersecurity or technology operations in a highly regulated environment (e.g., GLBA, HITRUST, PCI, FedRAMP).Cyber certifications are a plus – CISM, CISSP, GIAC, etc.Other duties as assigned.Work Location
This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center – 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047. The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000‑square‑foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah, and serves as the company’s primary technology and operations center.
