Job description1 to 3 years in the industry Excellent communication and record-keeping Asbestos : NYS DOL Asbestos Project Monitor Certification Additional certifications such as 10 / 30 Hour Construction Safety are desirable but not required. Must be well versed in NYC DEP Title 15 Regulations Mastery of the English language – written and spoken. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation. Ability to frequently lift and / or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to occasionally work at heights greater than 6 feet (examples : ladders, rooftops, man-lifts, scaffolding). Ability to occasionally work in confined spaces (examples : crawlspaces, attics). Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to walk up / down multiple flights of stairs. Ability to complete all mandatory trainings, including safety training. Eager and available to work flexible and extra hours as necessary. Available to work during off-hour shifts on an emergency, as-needed basis. On-site for the duration of the project at all times the abatement contractor is present to assure compliance with Federal, State and Local statutes governing abatement procedures. Perform air sampling and inspections to monitor compliance with specified procedures within the work area. Complete detailed documentation including chains of custody and log book entry. Communicate with designated project managers during and after shift.
