This position involves planning, coordinating, and supervising computer-aided design (CAD) activities for multiple engineering projects. The role requires creating 2D drawings and 3D models, utilizing data management systems for submitting and transferring data both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate CAD activities for engineering projects.

Create 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.

Manage data submission and transfer for internal and external usage.

Utilize 3D Experience (3DX) System for cloud designs.

Collaborate with the team to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience with Catia V5 in the automotive industry.

Proficiency in 3D Experience (3DX) System.

Knowledge of parametric modeling in Catia, including formulas and linking features.

Experience with contextual design and use of publications for model updates.

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and stack-ups.

Ford business knowledge and experience with Teamcenter.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with FECDS.

Proficiency in surface modeling and solid modeling.

Thorough knowledge of drafting techniques and engineering terminology.

Proficiency in Office 365, with Power Query, Power Pivot, PowerApps, and Power Automate as a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based in a professional business office located in Farmington Hills, with exposure to testing areas and occasional exposure to manufacturing environments. The organization is a key player in the automotive industry, integrating with three additional companies within the chassis division, including suspensions, dampers, shock absorbers, brakes, steering, and prop shaft. Engineers work collaboratively in this dynamic and innovative environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Farmington Hills, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00 / hr.
