Assistant Engineering Director

Description

GAI Consultants is looking for an Assistant Engineering Director for Civil Engineering. Your responsibilities in this position will include leading business development initiatives, and managing both civil engineering and multi-discipline projects and staff within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Business Sector, which is in GAI's Power Business Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a firm understanding of general civil engineering and the ability to generate work. The client focus of the Power Business Unit includes Power, Energy and Industrial clients.

Essential Duties :

The candidate should be driven and be seeking the opportunity to :

• Secure a teaming agreement for a specific project and a partnership with a Prime Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractor within 18 months and / or an Master Services Agreement (MSA) with a client in the Power, Energy or Industrial market within two years.
• Secure enough new work to support four full-time equivalent (FTEs) staff members (and / or $1,000,000 in revenue) within 18 months.
• Function as a seller / doer
• Identify, pursue, and successfully secure new business opportunities
• Lead and manage projects
• Technically lead engineering tasks in the area of expertise
• Manage staff and / or project teams

Benefits To Working at GAI Include :

Salaried Rate Pay Range : $130,000-$180,000

Pay is based on applicant's ability / experience and will be rated accordingly.

Bachelors of Engineering (required)

Experience

20 years : Civil Engineering and Engineering Sales experience (required)

Licenses & Certifications

Driver's License (required)

Professional Engineer (required)
