As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Screener in Uniondale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for people and property. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication. Pay Rate : $17.47 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 05 : 30 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Tue 05 : 30 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Wed 05 : 30 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Thur 05 : 30 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Fri 05 : 30 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Sat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Screen individuals entering and / or exiting the logistics and distribution location according to site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related procedures and information.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for potential security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and / or proper documentation for entry and egress.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and location protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
