- About the Role
They are seeking a highly skilled
- Lead Data Engineer
- who thrives in a fast pace environment and enjoys working closely with cross-functional partners. In this role, you’ll help shape data solutions from initial discovery and requirement-gathering through to production deployment. You should feel comfortable navigating vague or evolving requirements, proactively partnering with stakeholders to clarify needs, address contradictions, and align on priorities.
You’ll play a key role in building scalable data pipelines in Databricks, improving data quality, and empowering the business to make better decisions with large, complex datasets. This role offers the opportunity to influence data architecture, strengthen data foundations, and work alongside others to build impactful, high-quality data products.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives using
- Databricks
- , including ETL workflows, transformations, and production deployment
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements, refine scope, and resolve ambiguous or conflicting direction
- Design and implement scalable, robust data solutions to support enterprise supply chain and distribution operations
- Own data quality across multiple large and complex datasets
- Validate outputs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable delivery into production
- Partner with analytics and reporting teams leveraging
- Sigma
- and other BI tools
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Drive initiatives that support integration of newly acquired businesses into the data ecosystem
- Required Skills & Experience
- Deep hands-on experience with
- Databricks
- , including Spark, ETL, and data transformations
- Expert-level
- SQL
- and Python experience
- Strong critical thinking skills (able to analyze requirements, challenge assumptions, and recommend the best approach)
- Ability to take a project from concept to completion with minimal supervision
- Proven experience working with large, complex datasets and solving data quality challenges
- Background in application development preferred (or experience bridging data + application layers)
- Experience building scalable, production-ready data solutions
- Comfort in environments with rapid growth, ambiguity, and evolving business needs
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Sigma, Power BI, or similar BI / reporting tools
- Experience in supply chain, distribution, logistics, or similar data-heavy domains
- Exposure to transformation environments
