Senior Computational Scientist

A company is looking for a Sr Computational Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain assays and analytical pipelines in collaboration with molecular biologists and software engineers

Lead project teams to develop, validate, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and products

Mentor junior scientists and communicate results to stakeholders across the organization

Required Qualifications

PhD in Computational Biology, Statistics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, or related discipline

5+ years of experience analyzing large data sets in molecular biology or human genetics

Experience leading multi-departmental projects and mentoring junior scientists

Proficiency in Python and knowledge of software engineering best practices

Experience with CLIA-validated assays and Next Generation Sequencing platforms
