Responsibilities Work in an acute care OB unit handling Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and occasional Med-Surg patients Patient ratios for Med-Surg are 1 nurse to 3-5 patients, while Labor & Delivery follows AWHONN guidelines The unit is part of a 25-bed critical access hospital delivering approximately 300 babies annually Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts with 2 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule; occasional 8-hour shifts may occur No call responsibilities required Floating may be required to Med-Surg and, if competent, ICU or Emergency Department Duties include care across Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and nursery, as well as Med-Surg as needed Orientation includes 1 day in OB and 1 day in Med-Surg Nurses are never required to work alone in OB Navy blue scrubs with pale colored shirts under scrubs required First-time travelers considered All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility Disclosure of prior employment within the health system is required and previous employees must have separated for at least 6 months prior to consideration Local candidates within 80 miles are eligible Requirements Active MN RN license required Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, couplet care, antepartum, and postpartum Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring Experience using Epic charting, Omnicell, Philips monitors, fetal monitors, panda warmers, giraffe beds, hearing screener, and Plum IV pumps with smart library No BSN required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627450.
