Diesel Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience working with various heavy equipment and diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light to large vehicles, snowplows, diesel-powered vehicles, and machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Diesel Technician will work closely with other team members to provide exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform repairs and diagnosis on snowplows.
• Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Repair and replace components such as transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, and suspension systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs effectively.
• Work with schematics to understand vehicle layouts and systems for accurate repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Document all repairs and services performed on vehicles in accordance with company policies.
