Since 1893, Backus Hospital has been the primary source of healthcare services for much of Eastern Connecticut. We are home to the only trauma center in New London and Windham counties and are the only area hospital with LIFE STAR helicopter services.

Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the steam plant. Maintains the boilers and ancillary equipment of the Boiler Room to provide an adequate steam utility in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

Experience : 2 years of boiler plant experience required.

Licensure, Certification, Registration : Valid CT Heating, Piping and Cooling (S2) license required. Driver's license with clean record required. Valid CT Heating, Piping and Cooling (S1) license and valid CT Operating Stationary Engineer (OE2) license preferred.
