Do you have the desire to work for an organization that truly makes a difference in families lives in the Ozarks The OACAC Housing Assistance Program provides income eligible families with housing vouchers that help families pay their rent in stable and affordable housing options of their choice. OACAC Housing Assistance Program has an office administrative specialist position available immediately and we are looking for you to be that key resource in area families lives.
As an office administrative specialist you will be the first point of contact for the OACAC Housing Assistance Program. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the housing department. You will also coordinate front-desk activities including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
Skills required are general office skills familiarity with office equipment ability to plan and organize work to meet program deadlines effective communication skills with staff and general public ability to carry out written and / or oral instructions attention to detail good interviewing negotiating and problem-solving skills and accurate math skills. Must have a valid Missouri drivers license and insurance.
The job duties include but are not limited to :
Waiting List and Participant Household File Management : Responsible for entering applicant information and following all HUD and OACAC Housing policies for Waitlist management Pre-Eligibility and Annual Recertification procedures.
Email Mail and Fax Management : Responsible for processing outgoing and incoming program correspondence by date-stamping and recording received correspondence in tenant file in the computer software notes. Responsible for accessing the Housing Office general email account for tenant vendor and general public housing emails and routing all correspondence to appropriate personnel.
Office Supplies Payment Vouchers and Forms Management : Responsible for updating forms in the document server. Orders general office supplies on as-needed basis. Prepares payment vouchers and check requests to the Fiscal Department for prompt payment of invoices.
Other duties : Other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor
The position requires sitting standing lifting under 50 pounds bending or stooping and reaching over head. Starting salary $16.00 / hour and vacation pay sick pay and paid holidays $701 of employer paid medical per month and $30.96 of employer paid dental insurance per .
