Human Resources Manager
Purpose :
Responsible for all HR activities at the location to include monitoring and ensuring compliance with Human Resource laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; Facilitating and supporting the highest standards of team member recruitment, selection, orientation and retention; promoting a fair, respectful, adult, inclusive and challenging work place culture; and provide oversight of systems for training and continued development, reward and recognition, policies and practices, communication, benefits, performance management, administrative compliance, reporting and record keeping
Essential Functions :
- Responsible to develop facility level Human Resource Department goals and objectives
- Develop location specific recruitment and assessment processes to ensure recruitment and selection of high caliber team members
- Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for training and coaching hiring teams and hiring panels
- Knowledge of all Human Resource related policies, practices, and systems to ensure legal and good business practice compliance by
Ensuring all offer letters are in approved format and special conditions related to relocation, PTO, bonus, etc are first approved by EVP, Human Resources and Legal
Ensure all terminations and severance are coordinated and approved by the EVP, Human Resources and Legal prior to being enactedAdministration of performance feedback and management systems for individual and team performance, improvement, and trainingRemaining current on state, federal, and local laws and regulationsDeveloping HR reports and assisting in evaluation of statistics / resultsApplying Human Resources policies and practices in a fair and equitable mannerOversight to ensure site level payroll is accurately submitted by processing deadline to Milford on regular and “crunch” payrollsOversight for consistent completion of pre-employment paperwork, pre-hire drug testing and background check, new hire paperwork / orientation, and benefit enrollment per company standardRemaining current on state, federal, and local laws and regulationsPerforming record keeping so transactions are error freeProvide oversight to ensure scanning and electronic filing of all human resources and / or personnel file related documents in a timely mannerRequirements :
High school diploma or GED with 7 to 10 years of practical experience in Human Resources, preferably in a distribution environmentBA or BS in Human Resources, business administration or related field preferredCertification (HRCI or SHRM) preferredMust be able to inspire, motivate, train, and coach others within the Human Resources functionHighly proficient in computer usage to include email, word processing, spreadsheetsExperience with Human Resources and Payroll computer software and applicationsAbility to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sourcesAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customerAbility to utilize equipment for the job (computers, phone, copiers, scanners, printers, etc)Ability to Travel – less than 10%Physical Demands :
