Student Assistant for Finance 230

Position OverviewFIN 230 is hiring Teaching Assistants for the Spring 2026 semester. This TA will monitor and grade students in FIN 230 and manage attendance.

Throughout their employment, student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.Job DescriptionJob duties include :

25% - Attend every FIN 230 class from 3 : 30-4 : 20 pm on Thursdays in Capitol Federal Hall.

20% - Track students and assign a daily engagement score.

20% - Update grades for assignments and daily scores in a timely manner.

20% - Answer student questions and communicate necessary information.

10% - Alert the instructors to issues as needed.

5% - Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications

• Be admitted to the School of Business for Spring 2026.
• Completed FIN 230 or equivalent and earned an A for the course (if you are currently in FIN 230, you must have an A or expect to attain one once final grades are posted).
• Finance major.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to attend class every at the time listed above and work approximately 2-3 hours per week.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Spring 2026.
• Integrity and ability to model professionalism to fellow students.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must : (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA / GTA / GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
