About the Role :
RailPros has an immediate need of a Senior Civil Project Manager to join our outstanding team of engineering professionals. We are looking for a senior civil project manager with well-rounded experience, knowledge, and understanding of civil engineering design to work independently and lead civil design tasks and civil projects. Valued civil engineering experience includes transit / transportation, hydrology and hydraulics, and proven experience developing PS&E for civil projects. We are very successful in winning both public and private projects as well as railway projects which require civil engineering support and civil projects requiring design and review of civil / utilities / drainage plans in various locations throughout the United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Lead a major project team or several moderate sized project teams for the organization
- Oversee and analyze the financial performance of client accounts and engineering projects.
- Actively engage in project reviews to ensure quality and alignment with goals.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET / EAC accredited program15 years (min.) experience in general civil engineering design including a mix of roadway, drainage, earthwork, H&H, developing construction plans, specifications and estimatesExperience working with multiple disciplines within a project scopeExperience in field engineering and / or Design Support During ConstructionProficient is technical writing specifically specifications in multiple formatsHigh level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3DProficient in site grading, utility and drainage designProficient in street improvement design and public works designExperience in site developmentExperience developing and leading design teams and mentoring junior engineersPreferred Education and Experience :
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering20+ years of prior experience.5+ years prior experience in project managementProficient in Hydrology / Hydraulic design and calculationsExperience with transit related projects including facilitiesExperience in track designExperience in traffic designExperience in both public and private sectorsExperience in using MicroStationSUSMPs, WQMPs and SWPPPs experienceQSD / QSP registrationExperience in Facility DesignExperience in Right of Entry permit processingEngaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues.Business development skills .In-depth knowledge of industry standards and guidelines .Established relationships with railroad clients .Preferred Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc. :
Professional Engineer (PE) , equivalent, or authorization of CLPO .Member of a professional practice organization, national board member or officer, recognized expert in statewide activity, and a resource for national activities and organization.Supervisory Responsibilities :
