Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

As a Fraud / Security Specialist, you will experience all aspects of German American Bank's culture and values while working with internal and external customers to recommend and perform appropriate actions required to mitigate losses and provide a positive customer experience. You will investigate and research illegal, improper, or fraudulent activities by potential customers and / or employees of the organization. Our blended learning approach includes experiential, hands-on learning where you are able to work alongside your mentor and fellow team members to perform meaningful work. With your active engagement, you will gain a deeper understanding of banking services such as Online Banking, Bill Pay and Zelle. You will also help customers navigate situations involving suspected fraud, fraudulent scams, and so much more.

What You'll Do :

• A Day in the Life - Your focus will be utilizing fraud software to aid in investigation of high risk transactions across all payment channels to identify possible cases of fraud. You will be supporting our internal and external customers in a variety of ways including answering incoming calls pertaining to fraud or potential fraud to / from all German American locations, working potential fraud cases, and may act as liaison to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies on matters related to illegal, improper, or fraudulent activity. You will also assist in pulling surveillance video footage as part of physical security duties.
