About The Position

Job Title : NICU RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)

Experience : 2 years NICU experience required

License : California RN License required

Certifications : BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required

Must-Have :

Candidates must be flexible with scheduling.

Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage is required.

First-timers accepted if they have more than 2 years NICU experience.

Floating required to PICU and CTICU.

Description :

The registered nurse will provide care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Candidates will work 4x12-hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30.

They must adhere to pre-approved time off restrictions as determined by the manager.

Candidates must have experience with tube feeding, blood product administration, and management of PICC and peripheral lines.

They will manage anti-seizure medications, caffeine administration, and care for patients with neonatal abstinence syndrome.

Skills in phlebotomy, bubble CPAP, and ventilator management are necessary.

Experience with phototherapy and managing complex neonatal conditions such as hyperbilirubinemia and necrotizing enterocolitis is required.

The role involves respiratory support, nutritional care, and family teaching.

Candidates should have experience in neonatal dosage calculations and sepsis work-ups.

They will be required to assist in high-risk deliveries and manage various neonatal equipment.

This position is integral to providing high-quality care to the most vulnerable patient population.
