Job Summary :
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical assessment, triage, and care management in a clinic setting. This role includes evaluating patient concerns, prioritizing care based on acuity, initiating treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure timely, effective patient care. The NP plays a key role in clinical decision-making, patient education, and promoting continuity of care.

Essential Job Functions :
Advocate for patients’ rights, preferences, and needs, ensuring that they receive high-quality, compassionate care that is tailored to their individual circumstancesProject a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of the patient, coworkers, and the hospitalPerform clinical assessment, triage, and management of acute and chronic conditions in accordance with established protocolsPrioritize and respond to patient concerns via phone, electronic messages, or in-person visitsDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including ordering diagnostics, prescribing medications, and arranging follow-up careCollaborate with providers, registered nurses, and support staff to coordinate care and ensure timely patient interventionsDocument clinical findings, assessments, and care plans accurately in the electronic health recordProvide patient education on diagnosis, medications, and self-care strategiesParticipate in patient care huddles and interdisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient careParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and clinical training as neededFollow infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a high standard of care and professionalismUtilize the organization's secure messaging platform in accordance with departmental protocols, including, but not limited to, receipt and timely responses to communications related to on-call responsibilities, etc.Perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program requiredCurrent Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the state of Wisconsin requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredMust obtain ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire3,840 hours of clinical hours of advanced practice registered nursing practice in recognized role while working with a physician during those 3,840 hours of practice requiredTwo (2) years of clinical experience, preferably in triage, primary care, urgent care, or a similar setting, requiredNational certification as an NP (e.g., AANP, ANCC) in relevant specialty preferredMust possess a cell phone that interfaces with the organization’s secure messaging systemBenefits :
