Acute Medical-Surgical Nurse

Job Opportunity :

Responsibilities and Duties :

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient care and administering medications as prescribed by physicians.

Preparation and assistance during treatment, examination, and testing of patients are key aspects of this position.

Observing and recording patients' condition and reaction to drugs or treatments is essential in ensuring effective care.

Patient transfer coordination with hospital and discharge procedures.

Obtaining documented history and vitals from patients.

Teaching patients how to collect samples and tests.

Maintaining accurate records and patient charts.

Ensuring exam rooms are prepared including restocking of treatment areas.

Requirements and Qualifications :

At least one year of relevant experience preferred.

A current Louisiana LPN License is required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also mandatory.
