We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring the safe and effective operation of specialized imaging equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment in the lab. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and the technical aspects of diagnostic and interventional procedures. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with heart conditions. You will work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for procedures, monitoring vital signs, operating fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment, and assisting with the insertion of catheters and other devices. You must be able to work in high-pressure situations, respond quickly to emergencies, and maintain composure during complex procedures. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety are essential for success in this role. In addition, you should be comfortable working with advanced medical technology and be willing to stay current with the latest developments in cardiovascular care. This position typically requires an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field, along with certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent. Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab is highly preferred. 8-hour days (7-3 / 8-4) with rotating call (2 days / week, 1 weekend / month). Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist / Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred. 2. Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred. 3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current. 4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire. 5. Proficient computer skills.
