Work in a timely manner to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the underwriting field.
JOB DESCRIPTION : Looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Underwriter to join our underwriting team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their underwriting skills while supporting the team in evaluating risks and assisting with the underwriting process.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist underwriters in assessing and evaluating insurance applications and risks.
- Review and analyze policy applications, client data, and claims histories.
- Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather additional information or clarify details.
- Ensure timely processing of applications, reinstatements and additions.
- Support in maintaining accurate records and documentation for underwriting files.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of underwriting decisions and findings.
- Stay updated with regulations, and underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance
- Assist with identifying and addressing potential risks and recommending adjustments to policy terms.
