Job Description
GHD has a great opportunity for a Mid-Level Civil or Environmental Engineer in a Project Environmental Engineering Design and Project Management role, with a specialization in contaminated sites to support our US Central – Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation South Team! We specialize in environmental assessments, risk assessments, risk management planning and remedial design across the US Central South Region.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic pursuits focused on federal sector and private industrial clients.
- Work on a wide variety of environmental remediation projects including permeable reactive barriers, slurry walls, liner / cap / cover, stabilization / solidification, excavation, and more.
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other GHD teams.
- Collaborate on technical solutions / designs with multiple disciplines including hydrology, geotechnical, environmental, ecological, estimating, permitting, constructability, and more.
- Remain current on standard methodologies for innovative remediation approaches.
- Manage design projects including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop and review technical environmental reports, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
- Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere.
- Manage subcontractors and fieldwork.
Qualifications
Civil or environmental engineering degree.Possession of P.E. registration to stamp / certify designs, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months in selected states in the US Central South Region.5+ years of progressive experience.Experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and / or risk management projects.Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs including drawings and specifications, and construction support for environmental remediation projects.Experience working on both US Federal and Private projects is considered an asset.Proven experience in client advocacy while developing trusted relationships with regulators and contractors.Understanding of US environmental regulations.Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report-writing skills.Strong commitment to client service excellence.Legal Notice
