We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Event Director to lead our events department and spearhead the development and execution of high-impact, educational, and community-focused events. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in team-building and project management, and is passionate about educating and empowering the community.

As the Event Director , you will be responsible for building our events function from the ground updeveloping processes, hiring and managing staff, and ensuring the success of all event-related initiatives. You'll work closely with leadership to shape our event strategy while still staying hands-on in event planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Department Leadership & Development

Build and lead the event department, including developing systems, processes, and policies.

  • Hire, train, and manage event team members as the department grows.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align event strategy with organizational goals.
  • Event Strategy & Execution
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all eventseducational, community, and promotional.

  • Maintain a calendar of events and ensure seamless logistics, staffing, and execution.
  • Evaluate event success and make data-driven improvements.
  • Marketing & Promotion
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to maximize event attendance and impact.

  • Manage email marketing campaigns and post-event follow-ups.
  • Supervise or create engaging content for social media platforms to drive interest and visibility.
  • Stakeholder & Speaker Coordination
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with speakers, vendors, community leaders, and internal teams.

  • Secure and coordinate qualified speakers such as attorneys, law enforcement officers, and other professionals.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Track key event performance metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership.

  • Develop feedback systems to ensure continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Note : This position is not limited to the responsibilities listed above. Expectations may evolve based on the organization's needs.

    Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning and execution, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role .
  • Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
  • Strong organizational, strategic planning, and communication skills.
  • Experience with marketing tools such as Mailchimp , Constant Contact , or similar.
  • Proficiency with event management platforms such as Eventbrite .
  • Skilled in social media engagement and content strategy (Facebook, Instagram, , etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and solutions-focused leader.
  • Must be available for occasional evening or weekend events.
  • Work Hours & Benefits :

  • Full-time, in-office position located in the Clear Lake area.
  • Starting salary : $80,000-$100,000 DOE annually, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
  • Health benefits available after first month after 30 days of employment.
  • PTO and paid holidays included.
