Software Development Engineer in Test - Mobile Video Streaming
This role is with Comcast and focuses on validating product quality by analyzing and testing code against automated, repeatable processes. You will write automation that covers front-end, middleware, and database layers, and contribute to various software development lifecycle stages. You will partner with software engineers to write efficient automation code, report test results to leadership, repair complex automation scripts, and perform peer reviews of the automation codebase. You may lead teams or projects and share your expertise.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with development and automation testers to ensure deliverables meet quality
- Plan, implement, and track component testing activities with development teams
- Perform effective failure analysis and provide consistent testing status reporting to the team and leadership
- Lead as a member of an agile team and help drive consistent testing practices
- Ensure the engineering team delivers a quality product that meets defined acceptance criteria
- Coach and mentor other QAs on the team to contribute to effective testing
- Follow agile practices : daily scrums, planning, grooming, and sprint retrospectives
- Support test planning, manual and automated test cases / scripts, and test execution
- Analyze manual and automated test scenario results
What you'll need
8+ years of experience in testing enterprise mobile applicationsExperience in manual testing and test automation on Android, iOS, and RokuExperience with Smoke, Functional, Regression, Integration and Component testing techniquesAbility to recognize risks and errors in the applicationWorking experience and understanding of Agile software development and test processesExperience with Jira / Jenkins / Git integrationConcourse, Jenkins, Bamboo or other CI toolsAble to independently execute automation for iOS, Android and RokuPreferably experience in automation using Appium, Selenium, Java, PythonExperience with Mobile Cloud testing / device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, AWS device farm)Experience with network traffic capture tools such as Charles, Postman, and WiresharkA passion for testing, development, and designCloud services : Amazon Web ServicesTechnologies you’ll work with
