Summary :

Recruits, research, interviews, screens, and refers job candidates for job openings by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills. Writes job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others. Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral, such as brochures about the organization to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings. Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Initiates contact with potentially qualified candidates for specific job openings. Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position. Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization. Writes and places job advertising in various media, with the assistance of management. Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates. Utilizes internet online recruiting sources and social media to identify and recruit candidates. Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Coordinates communications with applicants. Coordinates background checks on applicants with the compliance department to be in accordance with FMCSA requirements. Files and maintains applications for future references. Performs Employment Verifications for previous jobs of independent contractors. Creates documents for updating the leasing process. Reviews owner-operator leases and independent contractor agreements for errors and updates as needed. Assists the Compliance Department with entering equipment changes into the system. Assists the Compliance Department with cross over duties as needed.

Qualifications :

High School degree or G.E.D. or six months to one-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, and Excel software. Must be able to adapt to new software when required. Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel must be available for occasional trade show travel.
