SR IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER – REMOTE ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in network engineering!

This position is 100% remote working eastern time zone business hours.

Starting out as a contract position running through March 2026 with strong potential to extend longer or convert to FTE.

Description Sr.

IT Systems Engineers are responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology solutions.

Sr.

IT Systems Engineers provide technical support, troubleshoot problem and perform scripting / programming to support automation efforts.

Required :

• Five or more years demonstrated proficiency and experience in design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure software products.
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience Must have 7 or more years of experience administering Fortinet FortiProxy proxy server or similar, this includes, but not limited to, PCAPs, policy traces and the understanding and knowledge on how to read them.
• Strong experience working in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong scripting / programming experience with one or more languages (ex.
• PowerShell, java, python) regarding audits and automated task scheduling.
• Ability to support systems using 24x7 on call rotation.
• Competent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system.
• Experience implementing and administering / managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
