Job Description

X-Ray / CT Tech position in Weston County, WY!

Responsibilities :

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Escorts patients to dressing and exam rooms, provides verbal and / or written instructions, and directs and / or assists patients in positioning body parts to be imaged. Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during exam.
• Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established policy and protocol.
• Completes required QC for equipment and maintains ACR / MQSA requirements.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order and reports malfunctions to direct supervisor. Opens maintenance tickets with the appropriate vendor when necessary.
• Performs any required administrative duties including scheduling, completing necessary forms, and maintenance and department supply ordering as required.
• Retrieves radiologic orders and transcribes related data into the electronic medical record.
