Accounting Technician - 8 hrs / day (Fiscal Services / PC#253751)

Position Summary : Performs financial record keeping duties associated with the processing and completing of accounting transactions for various accounts. Assumes responsibility for one or more elements within a complete accounting system such as customer accounts receivable, accounts payable cash, fund accounts, and limited-scope financial summary data.

Employee Type : Full-Time

Salary : $27.29 - $36.05 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience (new hire maximum of step 5).

Location : Fiscal Services

Hours : 8 hours / day; 5 days / week

Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours / day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours / day).

Education and Experience : The position requires completion of high school, plus college-level curriculum in bookkeeping or business practices and 3 years experience in a production oriented financial record keeping capacity. Additional higher education in accounting may substitute for some experience.

Licenses and Certifications : May require a valid driver’s license.
