Job Title : Yoga Teacher
Reports to : Lead Teacher and General Manager
Yoga Teacher for Vinyasa-Based Heated Yoga & Sculpt Studio in Greenbrae, Marin County, CA.
POSITION
YogaSix Greenbrae is seeking dedicated teachers who are passionate and professional, open to growth, and eager to take their teaching to the next level. Teachers are hired as part-time employees (not independent contractors) as we invest in your development and growth.
DUTIES
Delivering Exceptional Classes
- Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to the Yoga Six standards and guidelines for each of the YogaSix core class types
 - Set up and manage the practice room appropriately : Props, Mat Spacing, Music, Lighting
 - Provide top-notch class instruction
 - Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitioner
 - Clean practice room space and prop room after each class, leaving the room as neat as you found it
 - Make it fun by teaching with authentic expression, playing supportive music that reflects the class intention.
 
Building Connection & Community
Arrive at the studio prepared to connect with students a minimum of 15 minutes before class start timeCreate a personal connection with each studentFollow up with students after class- 15 minutesSupport studio success (through extra attention to new students during their trial period, event promotion, and knowledge of special programs that are offered)JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification1 year teaching experience preferredCurrent CPR CertificationWarm, Approachable, and Outgoing PersonalityGenuine ability to connect with complete strangers on a personal levelWillingness to grow and remain a student foreverA sense of humorCommitted to always remaining students themselves, eager for growth, coaching, and continued developmentAvailabilityTo facilitate connection building and consistent utilization of teaching methodology, teachers are asked to teach a minimum of 3 classes per week over at least two days per week.Communication & People SkillsMust be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, and via emailAbility to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general publicAbility to always stay calm and act respectfully and professionally, even with customers who may voice frustrationsStrong customer service skillsOrganizational, Professional, & TechnologicalProfessional, punctual, reliable, and neatTrustworthy and able to handle confidential studio informationProficient with computers and Studio softwarePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely to demo postures and transitions in a heated room, monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and if desired by students), and facilitate dynamic, energizing, empowering, and fun yoga and fitness classesThis job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs, as elevators are not present at all locations. May be asked to lift to 30 pounds occasionally.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focusMust be able to hear in person and via telephone effectivelyCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
