• Location : Petoskey, MI 49770 (Michigan nursing jobs)\n
• Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) – Stepdown / Progressive Care\n
• Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract\n
• Start Date : November 3, 2025\n
• End Date : February 2, 2026\n
• Duration : 13 weeks\n
• Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)\n
• Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)\n
• Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
• On-Call : Possible\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary : $1740–$1860\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care, or Telemetry nursing experience\n
• Proficiency in cardiac care, EKG interpretation, and post-cardiac procedure monitoring\n
• Ability to float to similar units as needed\n
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
• Travel nursing experience preferred\n
• Completion of a skills checklist for RN specialties within the past year\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including those recovering from PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers\n
• Monitor and assess patients post-open heart surgery (18-24 hours post-op)\n
• Manage care for patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
• Participate in national clinical trials managed by the NISUS research department\n
• Maintain strict attendance and punctuality to support patient care standards\n
