Technical Architect

The Technical Architect will guide the development of multi-year architecture strategies. This is a critical role on the Yearbook Technology leadership team. The Technical Architect is expected to collaborate with our Herff Jones product management team, IT leadership team, and Varsity Brands IT to help us implement the best future-state technical strategy for our suite of yearbook-focused applications. Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another IT-related field
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills with exceptional problem-solving capabilities
• Expert-level experience with Java
• Experience with Hibernate (required), Spring (preferred), and Node (preferred)
• Experience architecting, developing, and supporting REST APIs
• Strong understanding of cloud native concepts, including experience with AWS and Amazon MQ; experience with alternative cloud service providers is preferred
• Experience with front-end technologies, including Angular, is preferred, including experience with various Angular tools and frameworks, like NgRx
• Demonstrated experience working in various Agile methodologies, especially Scrum
