Patient Transporter - Emergency Department

Job Title : Transporter

The Transporter safely transports patients of all ages throughout the facility at the direction of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or ED RN. This employee is cross-trained to assist the staff by running errands, cleaning, and restocking the department. Qualifications : High school diploma or GED; Basic Cardiac Life Support or ability to complete at time of hire; has documented experience as a transporter or custodial experience or willing to be cross-trained at point of hire; can properly lift or transfer patient weight; good communication skills.
