wellestablished U.S. manufacturing organization to identify a
Safety / EHS Specialist to support occupational safety programs in an active production environment.
This opportunity is best suited for an
earlycareer EHS professional with
handson manufacturing safety exposure who is looking to grow their skill set under an experienced EHS leader - not a managerlevel role.
The Opportunity Reporting to an
EHS Manager , this individual will support the execution, administration, and continuous improvement of
safety and occupational health programs across manufacturing operations. The role has a
strong safety focus , with minimal emphasis on environmental compliance.
This is a highly visible, shopfloororiented position designed for someone who wants to
build depth in manufacturing safety and develop toward future EHS leadership.
Key Responsibilities - Support and help administer occupational safety and health programs
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Assist with OSHA recordkeeping , reporting, and incident investigations
- Track trends related to injuries, near misses, and corrective actions
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend practical improvements
- Assist in maintaining safety policies, procedures, and training materials
- Coordinate and deliver safety training to hourly and salaried employees
- Partner with production teams to promote a safetyfirst culture
- Stay current with federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Support safety initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations (limited travel)
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, EHS, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
- Manufacturing safety experience is required
- (Internships, coops, or early professional experience are acceptable)
- Foundational knowledge of:
- OSHA regulations and compliance
- Hazard identification and risk assessments
- Incident investigation and safety training
- Comfortable working in active manufacturing environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and leadership
Preferred Experience - 2-4 years of safety experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Exposure to machinery, forklifts, lifts, or industrial processes
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking
- Familiarity with ISO or structured safety management systems
- Spanish language skills are a plus (not required)

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
