Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 11 / 2025 Duration : 15 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location : Potsdam, NY Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements : Provide respiratory care in a 24 / 7 in-house department covering ICU, ER, Med / Surg, Pediatrics, and newborn stabilization. Perform medication delivery, ventilator management (invasive and non-invasive), airway management, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene. Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and troubleshoot ventilator alarms. Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including occasional high-risk delivery stabilization and EKGs after hours. Must be able to work independently and adapt to changing care needs. Experience with adult critical care, emergency department, and COVID-19 patient care required. Preferred ventilators : Servo I, LTV, Hamilton T1. Requirements : Minimum 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted. NY state license (must be active before submission). Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP required; PALS, RRT, STABLE preferred. Skills in aerosol / MDI setups, nebulizer use, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, trach collar, and various medication administrations (e.g., Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex, etc.). Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level I preferred. Charting : Epic preferred. Ability to manage neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
