Direct Counsel is seeking a Patent Agent to join a well-regarded law firm’s Intellectual Property group. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution.

About the Role :

The firm is actively recruiting a skilled Patent Agent with expertise in electrical engineering, software, computer science, or related fields to assist with patent preparation and prosecution. This role involves working on cutting-edge technologies, including AI and machine learning, and provides the opportunity for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to electrical, software, and computer science technologies.
• Conduct prior art searches and analyze patentability.
• Assist in developing patent strategies for clients.
• Work closely with inventors, engineers, and in-house counsel to secure intellectual property rights.
• Stay current with technological advancements and legal developments in patent law.
