Travel Nurse - RN - SDU - Stepdown Unit - $2923.04 / Week - Hiring Now

Galaxy Healthcare is seeking an experienced Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse for an exciting Travel Nursing job in Newburgh, IN. Shift : 4x12 hr days Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks Pay : $2923.04 / Week

Requirements : Compact RN license

AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS

3 years RN experience

1 full year of stepdown experience

1 travel assignment completed

Trauma level II experience

Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Patient Population : Cardiac (post cath stents / interventions, pacers), CIWA / BH, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, CPAP, feeding tubes, crani POD 2, GI bleeds, hypothermic / bear hugger

Skillset REQUIRED- Tele / 12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), Initiate / titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin, etc.). Post surgical assessment / care. NIHSS / Neuro assessments / dysphagia screen

PREFFERED- Stable home vents, PleurX drain / pericardial drains, lumber drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips
