American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with 3 years of OR experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications for a 13-week acute care assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Surgical Services OR unit of an acute care hospitalTypical cases include cholecystectomies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&Cs, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and C-sectionsWork schedule consists of 3x12-hour day shifts with 17-20 call shifts per 8-week period, including 12-hour weeknights and 24-hour weekend shiftsUnit operates with 2 suites but typically only one room is running at a timeAverage caseload is 3-5 cases per day depending on day and type of procedureEMR system used is Epic; prior Epic experience is requiredFloating may be required to Preop, PACU, and other departments if no surgeries are scheduledCall response time is 30 minutesSurgical scrubs are provided for all shiftsSmall, collaborative team environment with a supportive cultureOrientation includes two days in the OR and additional Preop / PACU training if applicableEveryone is expected to assist each other and remain flexible, with some down timeNo blocked scheduling or special schedule requests are permittedNo onsite housing is available; RV sites are nearby and Boise has extensive housing options\n \n Requirements\n
Active ID or compact RN license required at the time of considerationCurrent ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications requiredMinimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience requiredPreop and PACU experience preferredMust provide two professional references : one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityCopy of valid driver’s license requiredMust reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates not acceptedFormer permanent employees must have separated for at least one year before applying for travel assignments\n Benefits\n
