About the role

We are seeking a Scientific Officer who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team. The role will be responsible for :

• Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing
• Performing all routine procedures from point of specimen reception to execution of results for pathological diagnosis
• Assisting with Stock Control
• Compliance with records maintenance and recording of results in line with protocols
• Maintaining all equipment and operating equipment in line with protocols
• Maintaining current scientific knowledge
• Participation in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activities
• Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of new assays as required
• Participating in training staff
• Liaising with internal and / or external stakeholders regarding test results or referrals as necessary
• Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes
