Compensation: $25.00/Hr.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Positions are offered on a first come, first serve basis to highly qualified candidates
• Offers of employment will be contingent upon providing proof of work authorization in the U.S. as well as successful completion of state and federal FBI fingerprint background check, drug test, TB test, and a pre-employment job related physical all paid for by Belmont Village San Ramon.
• All qualified candidates must be able to speak, read and write English in a professional setting.

Your Typical Daily Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
• Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation
• Properly manage cook times while preparing and multitasking several orders at a time
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
• Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times

Skills Required for Success

• Being flexible and adaptable to different schedules, tasks and evolving needs within the department
• Ability to actively listen, observe, identify and anticipate guests needs with a strong focus on customer service
• Ability to follow detailed instruction while working as part of a team to achieve a collective goal
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and understand English

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and speak proficient English
• Minimum of 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or an equivalent environment
• Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
